Who I Am

I'm Derin Kivaner, a creative producer and UX strategist based in Zurich, Switzerland, running a one-person studio. I work with solopreneurs, service providers, and small businesses on web design, UX strategy, and branding projects.

What Data I Collect

I collect data in a few ways:

• Contact form on my website - when you reach out, I collect your name, email, and message

• Free resources - when you download my freebies, your email and name are collected through Systeme.io

• Website analytics - I use Google Analytics to understand how people use my website (pages visited, time on site, etc.)

• Client project materials - when I work with you on a project, you share brand documents, UX research, and business information

How I Use Your Data

Contact form and free resource emails: I use these to stay in touch about my services, share relevant content, and respond to inquiries. You can unsubscribe anytime.

Google Analytics: This helps me see what content works, which pages are most useful, and how to improve the overall experience. Google processes this data according to their privacy policy.

Client project materials: I use these solely to deliver your project. I don't share this with third parties, subcontractors, or anyone else unless you explicitly ask me to.

Data Retention

Client data: I delete all project materials and files within 3 months after a project is complete, unless it's an ongoing relationship or a project likely to reopen. After that, it's gone.

Email and contact data: I keep these as long as you're on my list. Unsubscribe and I'll remove you.

Analytics data: Google retains this according to their retention policy, which you can adjust in your analytics settings.

Your Rights

If you're in the EU or Switzerland, you have the right to:

• Access the data I have about you

• Ask me to correct it if it's wrong

• Request deletion of your data (with limited exceptions for legal obligations)

• Opt out of marketing communications

To exercise these rights, email me with your request.

Third Parties

I don't share your data with third parties. Here's what happens:

• Systeme.io - stores your email when you download freebies. That's it.

• Google Analytics - tracks website behavior only

• Payment processing - when you invoice me or I invoice you, payment info goes to Wise (just billing details, no project info)

• No subcontractors get your data - if I outsource design or development work, I don't share your project materials

Security

I use reasonable security measures to protect your data, including secure storage and limited access. That said, no system is 100% secure, so if you have concerns, let me know.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this policy occasionally. I'll post changes here and update the date at the top. Using my site after changes means you agree to the new policy.
